FAQs
Frequently Asked Questions regarding The Grass That Doesn't Grow

General Information

- How does artificial grass compare to real grass?
Our range of artificial grass provides a realistic-looking alternative to real grass, with the latest improvements in the industry it really is 'better than the real thing'. In order to maintain real grass you need lots of experience, time, money, materials and equipment. Save yourself the stress and costs of maintaining a real lawn.

- How much maintenance is required?

Artificial grass solutions are virtually maintenance free. The main benefit being that the grass does not grow, therefore absolutely no mowing is required along with no need for watering or feeding. Any debris can be simply removed using a brush or leaf blower, the artificial grass can also be easily cleaned using a hose.

- How long will it last?

Artificial grass solutions can last a lifetime, lasting over 15 years. Our range of artificial grass is hard-wearing and is fully UV stabilised, each variety carries its own UV guarantee.

- How does water affect the grass?

Our range of artificial grass is pre-punched for drainage whilst the yarn is fully water resistant. Rain water will naturally clean the grass and remove any accumulation of dust and dirt.

-How is it installed?

Depending on the type of installation required the artificial grass is fixed into position using a number of secure methods, for example in a lawn replacement a timber surround is installed beneath with the grass firmly fixed to this, or when installing to a hard surface a high strength adhesive is used.

Suitable for Children?

- Is it suitable for children?

Yes! Our artificial grass solutions are perfect for children's play areas, with our varieties being some of the softest available on the market today. Say goodbye to those muddy footprints!

- Is it suitable for schools and nurseries?

Our artificial grass solutions are perfect for use in schools and nurseries, when used together with our Shockpad Safety System, to offer a range of criticial fall heights.

Pet Friendly?

- Is it Pet Friendly?

Yes! The grass has a strong latex backing and we also brush an infill of dried sand into the grass to add further protection. Say goodbye to those muddy paws!

- What happens when the dog goes to the toilet on the grass?

Like normal grass you would pick up any faeces and dispose of it, any smaller particles will be washed through naturally. Urine will simply drain through the surface of the grass without discolouring the surface.

- Does the smell stay in the grass?

No, as any sediment will wash away normally with the rainwater naturally cleaning the grass. We do suggest that you clean the surface using a garden hose from time to time, to keep your grass in perfect condition. Another advantage of artifcial grass is the ability to use suitable disinfectants which cannot be used on normal grass.
